Donations in Kind

Giving need not be limited to donating money or volunteering on a regular basis. As a charity we can benefit from one-off gifts of time, goods and the use of premises. Our most pressing needs at the moment are listed below. If you'd like to make a donation, please complete our donations in kind form.

Goods

  • Photocopier - An A4/A3 photocopier is very much required by the team of volunteer presenters to help with the photocopying of scripts for recording.

  • Luxury Items - One or more high value items or a lot of lower value items to offer as raffle prizes.

  • Stationery - A4 photocopying paper.

Premises

  • Ballroom or Hall - A venue for us to host a special event.

  • Conference Room - As a venue for training our volunteers - a room big enough to accommodate ten people, with tables and chairs.

Time

  • Fundraisers/Event Managers - To arrange one-off, specific fund-raising events. We organise a number of events each year, but we're always interested in innovative ideas and can always use the skills of professionals and the well-organised. Glasgow nurses walked the West Highland Way, a group of line dancing friends danced the night away, and each year a Blairgowrie pensioner cycles 40 miles all in aid of our charity.

  • Joiner, Painter or Decorator - Maintenance work around our studios and offices.

  • Driver with Car - To transport visually-impaired people to and from our studios and to assist non driving volunteers to undertake speaking engagements, exhibitions and conferences.

  • Writers - Individuals able to put together articles for our audio publications, write editorial content for our promotional materials and for our web site.

  • Envelope 'Stuffers' - Individuals willing to fill envelopes - an unenviable chore that is essential to our on-going fundraising.
