Get Involved
We send out 71,040 tapes each year to 1,050 visually- and reading-impaired people. Over 60 volunteers give us their time and we receive funding via donations and grants. But we can always use more. There are many ways you can get involved with our work:
Become a volunteer
Historically our volunteers have lived close to our studios near Glasgow and have got involved in our audio transcription work. However, the Internet has opened up many new opportunities.
Tell a friend
The more visually and reading-impaired people who use our service, the lower the unit costs per person of producing a title. Please tell your family and friends about us.
Make a donation in kind
We have many one-off needs for goods and services. Perhaps you can help?
Make a donation....
...and as a 'thank you' we'll give you a selection of audio cards to send your friends.
Use our on-line form to make a credit card payment or send us a cheque in the post. You may also wish to consider setting up a standing order in our favour.
Give as you earn
Make a regular donation to Cue and Review Recording Service from your salary - a very efficient way of giving for you and for us.
Sponsor a title for a year
It costs £35 a year in direct costs to send one title out to one listener on cassette. A donation of £3 a month will enable us to provide a title to two listeners.
Provide a cassette for a year
Our cassettes are sent out in special wallets. One cassette and wallet costs £3. A donation of £3 a month will buy 12 new wallets and cassettes in a year.
Support one of our major projects
Associated with our on-going audio transcription work there are a number of major projects for which we seek funding.
Leave a legacy
Remember us in your will.
