Cueing the Class of 2004 - 16 Aug 2004

BBC Children in Need has recognised that Bishopbriggs needs a Youth Development Worker to help young people air their views on the internet.
The grant of ?24,000 will meet the cost of the full time appointee who will open the Bishopbriggs studios five evenings a week to show local residents how they can write, present, and digitally record material for distribution on the world wide web.
The Bishopbriggs Herald last year supported Cue and Review ? Print Speaking to the Blind in its aim of attracting adults in to work with local young people. Sadly only one adult came forward, Karen McPhee (pictured in front) but with funding of ?2,500 from East Dunbartonshire Council Karen was able to work with a team who have recorded J17, More and Kerrang during the last year for distribution throughout the UK on cassette and around the globe through audio downloads from the website.
