How is personally identifiable information collected and used on this site?

Visitors to this site supply Cue and Review Recording Service with personally identifiable information for a variety of purposes, including making donations, requesting information about volunteering and joining our mailing list.

The information is only used for the purpose for which it was supplied. If you supplied it in the course of making a donation then it will be used to process that donation and then be stored as a record of the donation having been made.

If you supplied personal information in order that we might respond to a request for information we will use it to do that. In responding to your request we may ask to add your details to our mailing list database, but you always have the right to refuse.

If you request to be added to our mailing list, your personal information will be entered into our database and will be used to provide you with information about Cue and Review Recording Service.

Personally identifiable information is stored on our web server and on a computer in our office. It is not publicly accessible but may be used by our staff and by others working for us.

We will not pass any of the information on to a third party. However, the mailing list database on our web server will be used by our partners working on our behalf.

Checking and changing the information you provided us with

If you would like to check or change the information you have provided us with, please contact us directly at the email or postal address above.

What anonymous information does this site collect and use?

We monitor the way in which our site is used including the number of people visiting the site, the URLs they click from and to, the pages on our site they visit and the browser software they are using. This is standard practice and standard information monitored and none of it can be tied to a named individual. It provides statistical data which we analyse and use to determine the future development of the site.

Does this site use cookies?

Yes, we use cookies in our donations/purchase system. Because many visitors come to our site to download audio information which is tied to donations, our system needs to be able to identify individual users. Each visitor is therefore given a 'fictitious' identity on entering the site, which keeps track of their actions on the site, such as filling a shopping basket. This is controlled by a cookie. However, this information is only linked to your personal information when you register or log in using a previously-supplied password.

Links

Our web site contains links to other web sites. These are generally the sites of our partners, clients we have worked for, other talking newspapers or sites where you can obtain further information about particular issues. Our privacy policy does not apply on those sites and we do not have any control over any information you provide to the operators of those sites.

Our site also contains email links to enable you to contact us directly by email. We use the information provided in your e-mail to respond to your questions or comments. We may also store your comments for future reference.

Legal disclaimer

We may disclose personal information when required by law. We may also disclose personal information in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of law or to comply with legal process served on us.
